It's not too late to join Awana!  Kids are welcome to join throughout the year.

Have you ever considered that Joseph of Genesis is an ideal target for how we as parents and church leaders want our children to turn out spiritually and morally?  He displayed integrity in his work ethic, had faith in God through years of trouble, responded to every situation with wisdom, and became a respected leader.

Awana helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ.  We want to instill the character of Joseph in our kids through the gospel of Christ, Scripture memorization, and Biblical lessons, all in a fun and exciting environment.

Our Awana club meets Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6:30 - 8:00 pm and we offer the following programs:

Age 3-4, as of Sep 1

Kinder – 2nd grade

3rd – 6th grade

Awana consists of three main sections.  Game Time introduces the kids to fun, unique games, and teaches fair competition and sportsmanship.  During Handbook Time, leaders listen to verses the students have learned during the week, and help kids to understand what the verses mean.  Council Time includes a Biblical devotion from leaders, our pastor, or occasional special guests.

If you have any questions please contact the church and leave a message for our AWANA commander, David Longenecker, or email awana [at] fitzhughbaptist.org.

Join us on Facebook and Twitter! We use both to communicate with parents and leaders, to share upcoming events, and to share ideas.
